DON'TCHA JUST LOVE THE HOLIDAYS? 
- In the course of a half an hour in the wee early morning hours on Thursday, I had spent $225 on presents [online of course].
It was totally worth it. 
- I was hoping that I'd get my ass outta bed at 8AM this morning so I could get to stonestown around 9AM to go to See's to beat the rush.
As you could have guessed, from my previous post of instances of my laziness, I didn't get out of bed until 9:30, and by the time i got to stones, it was already hella CROWDED.
jeebus. don't people have work to go to? I know it's the holidays but man, there must be some uber short-staffed and uber unproductive offices out there right now.. .. @_@
I went in to stonestown around 10:30AM with nothing in hand and left with two shopping bags full of See's Candy and $134 charged onto plastic.
Again. totally worth it. =)
well, not worth it as in the exorbitant price of chocolate, but still, it went to good people/causes.. LMAO...
and that itself was $1.34 in ebay anything-points..
IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE WINTER...
Yes, it is now winter.
It still doesn't feel like winter, at least during the day.
It's hella freezing in the morning and in the evening, but in the past week i've been able to walk around in a tee. Nice sunny weather.
I just wished we had it during the summer, instead of soaking it in while we're back at school or during winter break.

BUSTED... (>_<)
So this morning, while my parents were getting ready to leave for my grandparents house around 8am, they woke me up and told me that I should go into work early today. My response was that I'll wake up in half an hour or so and get to work around 10:30ish/11AM.
Seeing that nobody was at home, my mom said that she did not believe that I would wake up. She knew me better than that. I kept insisting that I will wake up on my own in about half an hour and get ready for work and what not.
My mom bet me $5 that I would not be able to wake up, and that i'd get into work at at least noon. I happily obliged.
i had the radio on and was enjoying some tunes while lying in a warm and comfortable bed. I fell asleep again.
It wasn't until about 11AM when I was fully awake, and got dressed and stuff. When I went outside to take the bus, I had two options. I could have either taken the L-Taravel all the way to Forest Hill Station and take the 43 Masonic, or I could have taken the 18 to Judah, and take the N-Judah straight up to UCSF. The 18 came first, so I took it.
Once I got off the 18, the N was right there at the bus stop. I rushed over to the bus stop and hopped onto the bus. Lady luck was on my side. It was as if it was too good to be true...
As I reached Sunset Boulevard, I realized that my parents were thinking of heading into Chinatown today to get some produce and other items. Since they were at my grandparent's house, they'd be taking the N-Judah inbound also.
SHIT.
But i thought to myself...
"What are the chances that I'd see them on the bus anyways? They probably went downtown already, since it's kinda late.."
The next stop would be the one that they would be coming on.
The doors to the train opened.
My mom had entered the bus.
WHAT KIND OF FREAK COINCIDENCE WAS THAT?!?! 
I feigned tunnel vision like i usually do, pretending that I did not see her. She had not come over to me, nor did I go over to her. I swear she saw me though.
That was the longest 20 minute ride up to UCSF i've ever been on.
I didn't say a word.
As I passed by her, I handed her a $5 bill and exited the bus. I didn't even look back at her reaction.
But i guess i don't mind...
That was $5 more for produce/ dinner.

WHAT A WASTED MORNING! (@_@)
I woke up at 8am because I couldn't sleep. I was tossing and turning, but my back and my neck just wasn't feelin' any of the positions that I was in. I got up, since that was my reason to wake up and drop off some mail in the mailbox before the first pickup.
Today was class scheduling day. Because of being a sophomore, with "sophomore units" [ie. no AP tests for additional college units], I was given today to register for classes.
Tomorrow is the last day. The first day was December 10. ::shakes fist at freshmen with their first priorities:: @_@
Reg time was at 1 in the afternoon. I went a-searchin; for classes that I could take for my GEs and for open slots of em. I was quite relieved, because with all the chaos from the previous semester, i vowed to kill myself if i couldnt get into a second year english class. Good thing when I was registering, there were quite a few slots open.
So, of the majority of the awaken morning hours, most of them were spent refreshing classes to make sure that all the slots hadn't been filled up.
I had to switch around my schedule twice. But it's all good.
Man, I start at 8:10AM EVERYDAY.
And I thought last semester with my two 8:10AM classes were bad.. =
I guess that's what I get for wanting a schedule with minimal breaks, and finishing before noon, so I am able to go into work.
So as the saying goes.. You can't have your cake and eat it too. @_@
MY LAST BIG PURCHASE OF THIS YEAR...

After three weeks of waiting. My baby has finally arrived..
The ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. I bought it off outpost.com for $180. I think it was the cheapest I've seen at any retailer.
I needed it to replace my ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 Pro. It won't work with my prospective windows media center operating system =
I can't wait to get my external harddrive back. I'm going to back up everything, format, and swap parts (surgery time! xD ).
It's going to be a very fun winter break
I still need to get a bigger power supply (300 watts for all my shit? gotta be kidding.. @_@ ) and a harddrive for more storage, and then i will be complete.
I like to build computers. I like to upgrade em.
I have a very expensive hobby. Man, I feel broke. =X
But don't worry, I have enough for xmas presents....

The Swiss-based body, the World Wide Fund for Nature, included the three on a list of 10 items whose commercial exploitation was endangering animal and plant species already threatened with extinction.
Well-wishers imbued with the Santa Claus spirit should also avoid buying tiger products or tigers for pets, it said.
"All international trade of tiger products, whether used in traditional Asian medicine, as souvenirs or for good luck charms, is illegal," the WWF declared in a statement.
Ivory in any form should also be avoided, it admonished, because the ivory trade was threatening the survival of elephants whose tusks are its primary source.
Caspian Sea sturgeon, the source of Beluga caviar, face extinction due to illegal plunder and should only be bought in jars certified by CITES, the United Nation's agency fighting trade in endangered species, the WWF warned.
High fashion shahtoosh scarves woven from the hair of Tibetan antelopes should be avoided altogether. "To obtain the wool, the antelope has to be killed," the WWF said.
Many cactus species are banned from international trade. "There is a flourishing illegal trade which is wiping out native populations, particularly from Mexico," WWF warned.
Finally, the WWF advised shoppers to avoid buying appliances like televisions and stereos that consume large amounts of electricity while on standby, arguing that the drain on energy they present was another threat to the environment

But then I realized, i don't think i have too much [northern] california pride to begin with.. I don't sport anything that represents the Bay Area. No "Yay Area" hoodies, no local sports jerseys, no nothing. Basically, I have nothing to show my love to the bay.. =

I guess the news about Professor Peters being a very crappy astro professor is starting to come to the surface, with a lot of people knowing about his pure evilness. Check this out:
3 out of 5 of these astronomy courses start with 160 open slots.
Almost all of these still have about 30-40 slots available [with the exception of stanford's class, but his section opened up last, so it's understandable].
Professor Peter's opened up second, and out of his available 146 slots, only 20 slots have been filled.
I feel very bad for these poor souls. O__O

So yes, because I had previously signed up for freeipods.com and freeflatpanel.com, I had already signed up for blockbuster online, as well as Columbia House DVD club. Nothing else really enticed me, or were applicable to me. But i did find something that seemed interesting. The BMG CD music club. Select 7 free CDs, buy 1 at full price, and then get 4 more free. Simple right? I later found out that shipping and handling per CD is $2.79, so you know that all adds up...
So yes, i had placed my order in on November 27th, and guess when I recieved it?
December 15, just THIRTEEN business days later.
....and it only came from Indianapolis, Indiana.. @_@

BEIJING (Reuters) - Residents of Beijing are worried that the careless disposal of dead pets is hurting their campaign for a "green" Olympic Games (news - web sites) to be held in the capital in 2008, Xinhua news agency said on Thursday.
Of the more than 200 pets that die each day in Beijing, only one is cremated. The rest are either buried or dumped in trash cans, Xinhua said.
Pets were shunned in the days of Mao Zedong as a symbol of bourgeois decadence, but pet pooches have become increasingly popular in the last decade as living standards have risen dizzily.
"Quite a number of pet owners bury their pets either in the lawns of residential quarters or in public places, and quite a number of dead pets end up in the trash cans of residential communities," Liao Yumin, manager of the Beijing Boai Animal Crematorium, was quoted as saying.
"The careless burial of dead animals could result in hazardous pollution as rainwater or flooding runs over the bodies," he said.
The issue came to the attention of authorities last year when civet cats, considered a delicacy in the south, were found to be linked with an outbreak of SARS (news - web sites), he added.
In an online survey by the Beijing municipal government, "citizens have shown concern that the careless disposal of dead pets in the city might do harm to the capital Beijing as it has been exerting itself to host a Green Olympics in 2008, one of the goals of which is to improve waste treatment in Beijing," Xinhua said.
At the end of June, Beijing had 417,731 registered dogs, an increase of more than 7,000 over 2003, show statistics from the city public security bureau.
The actual number of pets in the city was estimated at more than a million, Xinhua said.

I don't get math. While staring at the problems and reading the concepts, they don't seem too bad, but once you throw in practice problems, all hell breaks loose. @__@
but once the professor explains the homework problems, and how to get to the answers, it's like "oOoOOOoO.. i SEE it! "
but once you're told to solve one yourself, it's back to square one again. 
aye, i can't wait til tomorrow is over.

yes, ill say it up front. Me thinks I bombed my accounting final. How bad? I'll let the pic do the talking..
I FINISHED THIS WHOLE ROLL OF CERTS MINTS WITHIN 30 MINUTES, SO MY BREATH'S SO FRESH SO CLEAN, BUT THE ANSWERS ON MY SCANTRON STILL LOOK AND SMELL LIKE S-H-I-T
But i guess as a whole class, we all did pretty poorly.
It was just 26 multiple choice questions.
26 HARD multiple choice questions. I think within the first half an hour a few people left already, and by the end of class only about 20% of the clas was still there, destined to finish the test by trying as hard as they could.
I swear to GOD that when professor tom called time, I saw two girls on the verge of crying/breaking down.
ouch.
