    I forgot if I had mentioned it on my blog or not, but I know that I told all my friends that I *didn't* go shopping on "Black Friday". 


    Well, sorry to say, but I LIED! @_@


    Well, if we want to get hella technical about it, i didn't go shopping on black friday, but I did get some shopping done.

    and no, not ebay.


    and though I was HELLA looking, no, not sonystyle..


    But yes, newegg.. >_<


     



    What I bought on Black Friday ::sigh::


    1 copy of Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 [i know, i can't believe i purchased a copy of windows either.. it was a spur of the moment stupid idea things..   O_O ]


    1 Remote Control for Windows Media Center Edition 2k5


    1 ATI eHome Wonder TV Tuner Card


    1 x 1GB SanDisk Cruzer Mini USB Microdrive diddily


     


    after all these purchases, I've come to realize that my slight "desire" to modify my current rig into a Windows Media Center PC will REALLY happen @_@.


    Man.. stop bitchin'.. i can already hear some of my friends already...
    "whatta waste of money, you already have a all-in-wonder video card that does all that already, why you wasting all this time/money with a MCE 2k5 rig?!?! "


    My response:
    "Everything'll be integrated, and will be controlled by Micro$oft! "
    [but then again, that isn't exactly a good thing.. @_@ ]

    True, my AIW 9600pro isn't compatible with Media Center Edition, so I'll have to replace that with THREE cards [new video card/ tv tuner (just purchased) and then a HDTV tuner [just because.. :-p ]..
    I just wasn't really feelin' ATI's multimedia software... good enough of an answer?


    ..too bad! >_<


    I'm anticipating on spending probably another $300-500 on this little "project" of mines..


    but AFTERWARDS....  NO MORE MODDING COMPUTER!! @_@


    ...well, at least until Windows Longhorn comes out..

    In-Line Skaters Charged in Puppy Theft


    TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian police have charged two men with stealing a puppy from Toronto's humane society, while using in-line skates to speed their escape.







     

    Police said on Wednesday the two men entered the animal shelter, snatched a four-month-old Staffordshire terrier mix from its cage, and quickly skated out.


    The theft was captured on camera.


    One man was arrested after he was seen walking the puppy, named Sarah, on a nearby street. A second man turned himself in to police.


    The two are charged with theft and possession of stolen property under C$5,000 ($4,200).
