  • The answer to yesterday's "Dirty Minds" was MARSHMALLOWS [what else could it have been ?]  Here are today's clues:

    Thoughts/Lessons/Rants of the Day


     


    1.  OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW


          After putting it off for HELLA long, i finally did the transition into AIM 5.2.  I have been on AIM 4.8 and using myIM for the longest time.  I wasted money on coolcounters and flobberbox, so whats another few dollars for a copy of DeadAIM right?  DeadAIMs pretty cool so far.


          Only upgraded because i thought that having 4.8 was the reason for my xanga's AIM status to be "offline" all the time.  But it wasn't.  So now im just going to be on both so then it will show up.  ::all sez::  IDIOT.


     


    2.  HARDY HAR HAR.  I DIDN'T BOMB ON MY SPEECH AFTER ALL


          Remember that speech that I was PRO-PRO-PRO Crastinating on?  The one that i did very last moment.  the one that i did the morning of.  yes, the one on euthanasia.  the one that i presented by fidgiting and shaking and mumbled and adlibed HORRIBLY...well, i got the grade back on it today.  I got a "B/B+".  my first reaction:  HOLY SH!T!!!  I wonder what provoked professor marcovici to give such a high grade.  he himself game me a few minuses (on the +/[check]/- scale).  The 5 student evaluations were pretty sugar coated and such, with comments such as:


     


    "EXCELLENT! but next time maybe you should talk a little louder and not stumble through it" <~so how is this excellent?


    "GREAT VISUALS! but the chart was very unclear to me" <~ DUDE! the chart WAS my ONLY visual. 


    "more eye contact raise volume of voice and great colorful chart!! " <~ WTF is up with all them happy faces?  two out of three of your comments were negative. 


     


    OH WELL.  THE THING THAT MATTERS IS THAT I DIDN'T FAIL UBER-BADLY AS I HAD ANTICIPATED.  hum...maybe increasing my dose of self-confidence wouldnt hurt either, eh?


     


    3.  STUDY ABROAD?  SEEMS PRETTY NEATO


          For my AU-100 class today we had a guess speaker who came in to talk about studying abroad.  Seems pretty cool.  I wouldn't mind traveling the world while learning about other cultures at the same time.  But not right now.  Maybe in a year or two...


     


    4.  SWEETNESS...


          No, im not referring to my sugar high from saturday night / sunday morning.  BOTH my english and speech professors cancelled class on WEDNESDAY, so i have a free day :) .  But probably will go into work just for the hell of it :) .  [Haha, probably thought I'd put a sad face down for work, but no, i enjoy going to work.  And yeah, i AM a dork .  Damn proud of it too! ]  YES! FIVE DAY WEEKEND (well, four, but hey, who's counting?)!

    Getting lazy again, if i feel the need to update ill update later tonight.  And the whole friendster comment & analysis thing ill do another day, when i am less bored.  (wait, did that make any sense?)  oh well.
